![]() If I can't find an affordable alternative, I'll either can the side project or buck up and force myself to do the personal project I'm debating in order to make it make sense investment-wise. 62.99 Billed Once One perpetual License of Snagit 30-day money back guarantee Buy Now Snagit + Assets 112. ![]() Like I said, I may use the software again in the future for a personal project, but since that's not a guarantee I can't factor that in to the cost/benefit. So I'm just trying to see if there's a more affordable option out there other than Camtasia. I could buy a personal license (and I'm not necessarily opposed, it's just so expensive when I compare the cost/benefit - I'll be using it for maybe 10 10-minute long recordings - that's $30 per recording and I don't get reimbursed!). Given that the work I'm planning to do will be out of the jurisdiction of the media team who assigns/hands out licenses (it's a "suggested" side project from my boss), they won't give me use of a license for these mini-sessions I'd like to record. Yeah, they have - the issue isn't that, it's that they only give you access to a license temporarily. *edited because I am the grammar police on my own post I'm willing to pay, but I think my top price would be $200, preferably for a non-time bound license, but I'd be willing to entertain a subscription license as well. I will be working exclusively on Windows. If a software can also do some basic animation, that would be cool too, but not a necessity. What I really need is the ability to screen record with voiceover and do simple editing. ![]() Given that, I'm open to paying - but I am having a very hard time swallowing the $400 price tag on a personal license for Camtasia. That said, I'd probably also use the tool to do recordings unrelated to work as I've had that on my radar for a little bit. I'd like to do some small, under-5 minute quick tutorials but will not be able to get my hands on a Camtasia license to do it because this an aside that my boss has recommended I do and not officially part of our course development. My organization uses Camtasia to do our course recording and editing however, we only have a certain number of licenses and a lot of trainers across the globe, so when you are not actively recording a training course, you have to give up your license. Hi everyone! I need help with finding a tool. ![]()
